A few years ago we witnessed the devastation caused by the presence of an addict in the family unit.
The addiction can take the form of gambling, alcohol, drugs or just about anything that develops into an addictive obsession.
Many of the addicts find help and recovery, but so few of the surrounding affected families ever do.
The family may be relatives or loved ones or just those friends close to the addict.
Through non-profit fellowships such as Alanon, Alateen and clinics such as The Betty Ford Centre, (a registered charity that host their own ‘Family Week’) a family and friends can find the help and skills they need to find their own recovery, to live a normal life whether their loved one is still addicted or not. These are self-funding fellowships, they do not accept direct charitable donations, the money has to come from participants in the fellowship and I am one of these!
Money you donate will go direct, via me, to the fellowship.
If you would like to sponsor the ride, no matter how tiny the amount, please do one of the following:
1. Send a cheque made out to Wednesday Halesworth Fellowship directly to me at MARLINSPIKE HALL, WALPOLE HALESWORTH, SUFFOLK, IP19 9AR. UK
2. Electronically add funds to the account: WEDNESDAY HALESWORTH FELLOWSHIP. Lloyds Bank, Beccles Branch, Sort Code 77 66 20 Account Number 18293360
Thank you very much, we shall keep you up to date with how the funds progress.
